Lack of energy
Had not been blogging lately, I feel that i'm lack of energy. Had been extremely busy for the past couple of weeks with work, Nutripets accounts.... And now, finally i'm able to close the accounts soon. But for my own work, it's hard to fulfil everything. I'm sick and tired of all the backlog. Why am i the one to get all the shit when things are not done by the past few secretaries? I know i should not be complaining or grumbling as these are my job but it is just sickening. Everytime when i had to do something, other issues will crop up and then i had to do and settle it. Can someone please help me?????????//

Last week
Last week had been pretty busy with work as well as some personal issues. On Wed, I knew from one of my best friend/colleague that her baby which is 7 weeks old is gone. The doctor claim that the baby is not growing and had to do Day Surgery immediately to take out the baby from the womb. This is a shocking and unexpected news to everyone of us in the office. I knew that she and her hubby are very anxious and excited towards this baby. This is their 2nd child and the 1st child is turning 2yrs old this October. I feel so lousy that day after hearing the news from her hubby.
Thurs (14th June) - Went to office as normal and being busy as usual. Suddenly, in the evening around 5.20pm, I received a call from Ron saying his dad (my father-in-law) is being admitted to NUH and he had got a stroke. He asked me whether can i left the office early and he will come and pick me up. This is another shocking news to me. Suddenly, my eyes are filled with tears and without noticing, my tears drip down. Without hesitating, i went to look for my boss and told him that i had to leave now to rush to the hospital. I packed up and waited for Ron at the office lobby but when he arrived, i can see and feel that he is very anxious and worried. He drove very fast and rush his way to the hospital. But when we reached, Chris who was already there, informed us that this is a false alarm. Father just fainted because he is lack of sugar intake, most importantly, he did not suffer from any stroke. Hoo... both me and Ron looked at each other and we burst out laughing. Hahhaha what a joke that made everyone of us so anxious, worried and scared. In fact, this happened because Father did not listened to the doctor's instruction and he overdose his injection medicine for his diabetes. So after the jab in the afternoon, he did not have any food or drink that's why his sugar level will suddenly drop causing him to faint. We stayed in the hospital till 10.30pm then was being informed that we can bring Father home as the doctor had completed observing him and his condition had stablised.
Fri (15th June) - after work, i took a train down to Compasspoint (Sengkang) and meet up with Ron and Rand for McDonald dinner. Then, we shopped around for Father's Day presents for the 3 Fathers (Ron, Father & Godpa). Glad that i had got all the presents from there :)
Sat (16th June) - After lunch, we headed down to Macpherson to meet up with one of the pet shop as they wanted to order some goods from us. Then after servicing the customer, we head down to TM for some shopping and at the meantime, waiting for 5.30pm to arrive as all of my relatives (from Mummy side) are meeting in Seoul Garden for dinner. Today, it is the celebrations for all the Fathers in our families (for Father's Day). We had a great dinner 2hrs of buffet then we drove to Seletar Country Club for our KTV sessions. It had been awhile since i sang in KTV and as usual me and my cousin, Stella will be busy taking photo shots of everyone. We had so much fun singing and snapping shots around. As for the kids, all of them are having so much fun in the game room. My Dear Families, please click on this link for the photos that night :) http://rayniechew.multiply.com/photos/album/39

Isabel's 1st Birthday
We are being invited to Isabel's 1st birthday party at the Aloha Loyang Resort Chalet on Saturday. As you may be wondering who is Isabel, she is my niece (Mark, my cousin's daughter). So in the afternoon rush to buy her a gift before we head down to the chalet. Actually i'm in a dilemma whether to go anot cos i knew from Mark that some of the "Chew Family" will be there too. But in the end, i made up my mind and attend the party. I had been asking myself why must i avoid the "Chew Family" and why am i so afraid to face them??? I attend this party is because of my brother, Mark and my niece Isabel, so who the hack they are?? Throughout these 28 years, i only keep in touch with Mark and his family. I don't even remember any other members belonging to the "Chew Family". If there is a chance for me to bump into any of them in the street, i won't be able to recognise them lor....
Anyway, when we arrived, we made our way to greet Mark, his wife Christina and his Mum & Dad. Then Mark asked me should he introduce me to them (meaning the Chew Family) and say 'hi' so i agree. This is the 1st time i met my 2 Aunts (Ruth & Esther) and the other 2 Cousins (Christina & Annabelle). Anyway, it doesn't hurt for me to say 'Hi' but can tell that they are all shocked to see me. Maybe in their mind, i'm no longer existing and why suddenly this name "Raynie" flashed up again after so many donkey years. But who bothers!!! After awhile like an hour, we leave and we proceed to 'Giant-Tampines' for some household marketing. By the time we went home, it is already 10+ so we watched this movie "Dreamgirls" which we bought last week. "Dreamgirls," is a compelling story of love and loyalty, fame and betrayal that tracks the struggle, sacrifices and triumphs of a group of outsiders carrying their landmark sound into mainstream America in the 1960s' and 70s. This movie is defintely worth watching especially when the desperate Effie (Jennifer Hudson ) singing 'And I am telling you i'm not going' cos you can really feel her despair and desperation. Deena (Beyonce Knowles) is gorgeous and she sings well in the song "'Listen'' which evokes unhappines in her marriage and scheming husband (Curtis Taylor, Jr).
I love this show, it is fantastic.

On Sat, we met up with Ron's family at Vivo City for an early birthday celebration for my father-in-law. His birthday is on the 27th of May but as my bro-in-law, Chris is off this Sat, we decided to celebrate early. Before meeting them, i went to Metro @ Compass-point to buy him a gift so i picked a 'Goldlion' polo-tee then make a video-call to Ron (who is waiting for me in the car) to view and decide on the colour that i chose. Then when we reached Vivo, we accompanied them to shop for awhile then we head for our dinner at this Japanese restaurant at 2nd level. The food they served there are not bad but quite costly
. Hence, after dinner, we headed to Sentosa to watch 'The Songs of the Sea'. It is a mesmerizing show with a live cast and dramatic effects pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, bursts of fire, captivating music and stunning flame bursts definitely worth the $6.00 admission fee. Although the duration of the show is just 25mins, all of us especially Rand are thrilled and impressed by it. Ok, i shall now let the photos do the talking. After the show had ended, we headed back to the city from Sentosa. We drove to Mummy place as i knew that Mum is sick. When we reached, we saw that she is really not well so we insisted to bring her to the doctor. But as all the clinic are already closed, we brought her to A&E at Changi General Hospital. My brother, Shan went to do the registration first while me and Mum were being stopped at the entrance. The nurses used thermometer to check on Mum's temperature and oh my god, she is running a fever of 39 degree celeius and yet noone is aware that she is having a fever, not even herself. We waited near to an hour before it is our turn to see the nurse and being refer to the doctor. But lucky, nothing is being detected except the fever and cold symptom. But doctor had adviced that if the fever did not subsided in 5 days, we had to bring Mum back for a blood test to check it is due to dengue fever. Soon after taking the medicine, we sent Mum and Shan back home....
Sunday which is MOTHER'S DAY. Afternoon went out to buy the Mother's Day gift for Mum follow by some shopping in Tampines Mall. I got a nice Billabong bag from Ron & Rand, then we head down to Changi Village for a nice BBQ sambal stuff dinner filled with stringray, lala, gonggong, clam and kangkong. YumYum!!! Thanks Ron & Rand for making my Mother's Day so fulfilling and happy. Thanks Mum for bringing me into this world and always be there for me, supporting me. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!

Genting Trip (21st - 24th April)
As promised, i will blog on my Genting trip when i'm back but had been quite busy these past weeks. Woke up at 5am in the morning as we had to catch the bus in Kitchener Road (Lavendar) at 6.45am. We reach there just in time and i can tell you, the journey travelled up to Genting via 'Transtar Premium Bus' is so relaxing. At 1st, i thought that as the journey took us 6 hrs to arrive in Genting, it will be quite boring and how can Rand sit down and behave for 6hrs. But i was wrong, totally wrong! The journey is relaxing as the bus are equipped with massage chairs and individual LCD panels. We can choose to watch the shows we wanted so i watched Jolin's concert and some movies wheras Rand is hooked on the cartoons and Spiderman movie. Upon arrival, we check-in to First World hotel (tower 2) but the room that we got are small, smelly so we went down to the reception and request for a change of room. This time, we are lucky as the room that we got can view the outdoor theme park from our window. Rand is so happy with it as he kept stooding at the window, looking down to the theme park. Next, we proceed for our lunch and by the time, Ivan & his gf Beeling had arrived from Penang. We had a quick meet up and then we proceed our own way to explore the place further as Beeling had free pass to the theme park. Then we arrange to meet 7pm at the lobby for our dinner. We walked to Genting Hotel as they introduce us to dine in a restaurant called "The Olive" (Restaurant Of The Year by Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards'05-06). The cuisine they served are wonderful and the atmosphere is great together with a scrolling band. We had great food and nice wine. All thanks to Ivan for his warm hospitaity as this is also Ron's birthday celebration. After the wonderful dinner, Ron sent Sharon and Rand back to the hotel room wheras we waited for his return to the restaurant then we proceed to the casino. Haaha as i had drank quite abit of wine and my sinus is killing me suddenly, i went back to our room alone leaving Ron, Ivan and Beeling behind.
Woke up quite late around 11am and meet Ivan & Beeling at the lobby while they check-out. Today will be a day in KL. It is our turn to buy them lunch so after lunch, they drove us down to KL (Sungei Wang) before they head back to Penang. We spent 5 hrs just shopping there and then we took a cab down to Chinatown in Petaling Street. We had a delicious dinner but didn't buy any stuff from there as most of the stalls are selling imitation goods. Suddenly it began to rain so we made our way quick to the taxi station and took the silver cab all the way back to Genting.
Woke up extremely early at 3am and then me and Ron made our way to the casino. Hahha it is indeed fun cos it had been a long time since we had been so crazy doing stuff like this. We had fun playing with the Jackpot machines and then we played 'big small' at the table. Won RM200 at first but we did not leave so in the end, we lost everything back to Uncle Lim (hahaha) By that time, it is already 6am. So we explored some of the places, took some photos and then went to have our breakfast. After breakfast, went back to our room for a nap and then woke up at 11am. After dressing up, we went to have our lunch and then here we go to the outdoor theme park. It is fun, we tried almost all the rides except for the Viking as it suddenly began to rain. Rand is so happy with all the fun. We went back to our rooms for washing up then we had a pizza birthday celebration with Ron.
Happy times usually passed very quicky and it is time for us to check-out and head back to Singapore. I believe anyone had fun this time and it is a good short break for everyone of us.
